Why TheraBee exists

I couldn’t find a gentle, simple soap I truly trusted for myself and my family.

Most products contained ingredients I didn’t recognise or left our skin feeling dry. So I decided to make my own — using olive oil as the main ingredient and keeping the formula intentionally simple.

TheraBee is for people who want clarity, quality, and products they can trust on their skin every day.

FAQ

Why should I be careful which soap I use?

Your skin is the largest organ in your body and plays an important role in protection and barrier function. While it is designed to keep harmful substances out, some ingredients can be absorbed to a small degree — especially with daily, long-term use.

Using a conventional product occasionally will not cause harm overnight. However, from an integrative and toxicology perspective, repeated exposure to certain synthetic fragrances, preservatives, and harsh surfactants may contribute to skin irritation, barrier disruption, and increased overall chemical exposure over time.

Choosing gentle, thoughtfully formulated products supports the skin’s natural balance and helps reduce unnecessary chemical load in your daily routine.

Your skin is not just something you wash — it’s somethv ing you care for.

How should I store and use the soap?

After delivery:
If you order multiple bars, we recommend unwrapping them and storing them in a cool, dry place with good airflow (for example, on an open shelf or in a drawer with ventilation).

Cold process soap naturally continues to improve over time. The longer it sits and “breathes” in a dry environment, the more it continues to cure, becoming harder, milder, and longer-lasting when used.

Although our soaps are fully cured and ready to use when you receive them, allowing them to rest longer can further improve the bar.

During use:
For everyday use, always keep the soap dry between washes. The best way is to store it on a soap dish with drainage (or any surface where water can run off).

If the soap sits in water, it will soften faster and won’t last as long.

Best practice: keep it in a well-ventilated area and allow it to dry fully between uses.

Can I use TheraBee soap on my baby or toddler?

TheraBee soaps are gentle, but they are not suitable for children under 3 years old.

Are TheraBee soaps medical products?

No. TheraBee soaps are cosmetic products and do not diagnose, treat, or prevent any skin condition.

Are you a practising doctor in the UK?

No. The founder holds a medical degree obtained outside the UK and does not practise medicine in the UK.

Is TheraBee soap Cosmetic Products Safety Report (CPSR) assessed?

Yes! All TheraBee soaps are safety assessed under the UK Cosmetic Products Safety Report (CPSR) regulations. This ensures every bar is fully compliant and safe for use, so you can trust what you put on your skin.

How does your background influence the soap?

It informs a cautious, ingredient-first approach — focusing on simplicity, transparency, and well-understood materials rather than trends.
